The bi-weekly paper is known for its week-long food celebrations that range from pizza to slushies, and from Monday, March 3 through Sunday, March 9, they’re hosting Sandwich Week.
“At long last, it’s time to celebrate humankind’s greatest feat with the Portland Mercury’s Sandwich Week! And if you love sandwiches, you are gonna lose your damn mind, because … Portlanders will be feasting on delectable, original sandwiches built by some of the city’s most creative sandwich makers.”
More than 70 restaurants in the Portland area have signed up to create their own sandwich. Whether that sandwich is a reuben, a sloppy joe, or a torta, every sandwich will be $10.
Local heavy hitters Sammich, Deadshot, and Lardo are among the restaurants on this year’s list. A full rundown of all the restaurants can be found on the EverOut site.
