Lafayette Parish deputy arrested for child cruelty
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A Lafayette Parish deputy has been arrested on alleged cruelty to juvenile charges.
Officials said they were contacted in February regarding allegations involving a deputy with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the investigation, officials arrested Matthew Frost, 28, of Lafayette.

Officials said the investigation found that Frost committed the offense of cruelty to a juvenile against a single victim on two separate occasions in June 2024.
Frost was sent to a Lafayette Parish jail on two felony counts of cruelty to a juvenile charges.
The investigation remains ongoing, there is no bond information at this time.
