The Hendrick Health Academy program, launched in 2023, partners with local and regional colleges to expand the healthcare workforce in Abilene and Brownwood. At ACU, the program encourages Big Country students to pursue healthcare careers and stay in the region.
“There’s a need right here to help students and positively impact our community’s health, well-being, and productivity. This is one great manifestation of that,” said Dr. Dirk Nelson, Dean of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences at ACU.
