ABC4’s Top Oscar Predictions | See It or Skip It

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Will you be watching the Oscars this weekend? More importantly, will you be filling out your ballots for this year’s Academy Awards? Tune in as ABC4 Film Critic and Celebrity Interviewer Patrick Beatty, alongside Geekshow Podcaster and Film Critic Rebecca Frost, break down their picks to help you with your ballots.

In this special edition of See it or Skip It, Beatty and Frost share their top predictions. Among the list of predictions given, some of the big contenders range from Zoe Saldaña for Best Actress in “Emilia Pérez” and Kieren Culkin for Best Supporting Actor in “A Real Pain”, to VFX Nominations and the biggest prediction of the night- Best Picture.

Additionally, Beatty and Frost go over their choices for “Oscar Snubs”, films that should have been nominated that for whatever reason did not and why they feel films like “Superman: The Christopher Reeve Story”, “Will & Harper”, “Challengers”, and “Better Man” did not recieve the level of recognition they deserve.

Lastly, the two Utah Film Critics Association members make the wildest predictions in the “Wild Cards” section, hinting that a single nominated film like “Gladiator II” could still bring home the gold, or there could be a huge upset in the Best Actor category with Timothée Chalamet winning for his performance in “A Complete Unknown”?
