An Effingham based company called Koerner Distributors will be handling the distribution in Central Illinois. The president of Koerner Distributors said they’ve been planning this launch for about a year now.
About a month ago Yeungling was sold in bars across the state for the first time, including ones in Central Illinois. Now, it’s heading to stores like IGA in St. Joseph.
“[It’s] unique. You don’t see this every day as far as introducing new items, regardless of whether it’s in the beer aisle or any other aisle. It’s just an opportunity that we like to be involved in,” Todd Woods St. Joseph IGA owner, said.
He said more than a dozen people have been asking every day when the beer would be coming in. Now, different versions of the product will be available like flight which is a light beer, traditional lager, and a golden pilsner.
If you’re someone who’s been waiting for Yeungling you’ll be able to find it in the stores Monday, March 3.
