CADDO PARISH, La. – (KTAL/KMSS) – The Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation Department announced Wednesday that they plan to resurface existing tennis courts to pickle ball courts throughout the parish.

According to a press release, the following pickleball resurfacing project park sites include:

  • Earl G. Williamson Park (6 dedicated pickleball courts)
11425 LA Hwy. 1, Oil City, La.
  • Keithville Community Park (2 courts-pickleball/tennis)
    12201 Mansfield Rd., Keithville, La.
  • Town of Blanchard (1 dedicated pickleball court)
    402 Birch Ave., Blanchard, La.
  • Town of Greenwood (1 dedicated pickleball court)
    9360 Greenwood Rd., Greenwood, La.

“Over the past three years, pickleball has emerged as the fastest growing sport in the country,” said Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation director Patrick Wesley. “There is a strong demand from our Caddo Parish citizens, young and old, to develop more dedicated pickleball courts, and we are listening.”

The project is set to begin in the spring. Visit caddoparks.org for updates on all of CPPRD’s improvement projects.
