Governor Shapiro pitches child care funding in Pennsylvania

(WHTM) — Governor Josh Shapiro is taking his “Child Care Budget” proposal to those who need it most.

Today, Shapiro visited “The Perception Training Center” in Pottsville, Schuylkill County. The early learning facility says it is losing employees to better-paying jobs and supports the governor’s call for funding to keep teachers.

“The investment Gov. Shapiro is proposing for our teachers will work to close this revolving door,” said Michelle Dallago, the Owner and Executive Director for Perception.

Shapiro wants lawmakers to approve his request for $55 million for schools to find and keep teachers.
