The Arc Cado-Bossier’s “Go for the Gold” 5K & 1/2 Mile Fun Run is set to take place at 8:00 a.m. on Sat., Mar. 8, at A. C. Steere Park in Shreveport.
Team RWB, Ainsley’s Angels, and Sportspectrum partnered with The Arc Caddo-Bossier for the event.
The fun run benefits the Goldman School and Child Development Center.
Participants will run on a scenic route in Shreveport’s Broadmoor neighborhood. First and second place winners of the 5K, plus first and second place finishers in each age group, will receive awards.
The K5 registration fee is $25, while the fun run registration fee is $15. Race packets are available at Sportspectrum and may be picked up on Thurs., Mar. 7 from noon until 6:00 p.m. or Fri., Mar. 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Packets will also be available at the race beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Other activities are available to those who do not want to run, including an interactive experience hosted by the City Marshall. Ark-La-Tex & Events will provide inflatable games, and The Ar Caddo-Bossier’s Goldman School and Child Development Centers will have field day activities for the little ones.
