Teen arrested, another at large, after St. Landry Parish armed robbery
OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) — Two teens allegedly attempted to rob a man of his dog in St. Landry Parish, one of the teens is still being search for by police.

Officials said, October 2024 they responded to a complaint on Nap Lane near Opelousas. When they arrived, their investigation revealed that four individuals drove up to a home and attempted to rob the resident of his dog. The man was allegedly pistol-whipped to the point of unconsciousness, with one of the pistols being broken in the process.

Officials said Kelbe Deshawn Jordan, 18, was arrested on charges of felony attempted armed robbery, felony aggravated second degree battery and felony aggravated assault with a firearm after he was identified through a photo lineup.

His alleged accomplice Tawaskie Ledet, 17, is currently being sought by police for charges of felony attempted armed robbery, felony aggravated second degree battery and felony aggravated assault with a firearm.

Bond information was not released.
