In Champaign County, the county fair will take place July 18-26, officials announced on Monday.
And on Friday, July 25, Grammy award winner Travis Tritt will take the stage. Tritt is known for hits like “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive,” “Here’s A Quarter,” “Anymore,” “Country Club,” and “Help Me Hold On.”
Tyler Braden will open for Tritt. Braden’s hit song “Try Losing One,” reached number one on SiriusXM’s Highway Hot 30 countdown and “Devil You Know,” reached more than 60 million global streams.
Gates open at 6 p.m. for the show, and the music is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert go on sale Feb. 28 at 8 a.m. and can be purchased on the fair’s website.
A full list of events and more details about the exhibits will be available on the website soon, according to fair organizers.
Christian County Fair organizers also announced the headlining act for the event on Monday.
Country artist Clay Walker will take the stage July 18. He started his career in his early twenties and has released 11 singles that reached number one. Walker is known for hits like “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming With My Eyes Open,” “This Woman and This Man,” “Hypnotize the Moon,” “Rumor Has It,” “Then What,” “I Can’t Sleep,” and “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”
Casey Donahew will open for Walker. Donahew is a county music artist with 21 number one singles. Some of his most popular songs include “Drove Me to the Whiskey,” “He Ain’t a Cowboy,” and “Bad Guys.”
Tickets will go on sale Friday, Feb. 28, at www.christiancountyfair.com.
The Iroquois County Fair Board announced their headlining act would take the stage on Saturday, July 19.
Country artist Chris Cagle is known for hits “My Love Goes On and On,” “Laredo,” “What Kinda Gone,” “Chicks Dig It,” and “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out.” He began his career in 2000 and has “captivated” audiences with his “heartfelt tunes” since then.
Craig Campbell will be the opening act for the concert. He’s known for songs “Family Man,” “Outta My Head,” and “Outskirts of Heaven.”
The Iroquois Fair Board said that tickets will be available for purchase Friday, Feb. 28, at 8 a.m. on the fair’s website.
