How to check for Kentucky registered sex offenders near you in 2025

KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — The Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act was implemented to support public safety. All states, including Kentucky, maintain a list of sex offenders.

The state of Kentucky provides a special database that is easy to use.

Parents and guardians who are moving to a new neighborhood can use the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry website to search within a 5-mile radius of a ZIP code.

According to Kentucky State Police, it “provides sex offender registration information to the public to promote public safety and awareness by alerting possible victims of potential danger, not to punish or embarrass offenders.”
