(WHTM) – U.S. Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) joined This Week in Pennsylvania to discuss the latest news in Washington D.C., particularly Donald Trump’s latest moves and the ongoing peace talks with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.

McCormick says Pennsylvanians are getting what they voted for in re-electing Trump.

abc27’s Dennis Owens asked McCormick if he agreed with the president’s statement that Ukraine started the war, and Trump’s allegation that Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a dictator.

“Well, I think the war was clearly started by President Putin invading Ukraine, I don’t think there’s much to dispute about that,” said McCormick. “And I also don’t see much evidence that Zelenskyy is a dictator. I do agree with the president that it’s time to bring peace to this horrible conflict.”
