1 dead in Boyd County house fire, woman in burn unit

CANNONSBURG, KY (WOWK) – One person is dead and another is injured after a fire in Boyd County, Kentucky.

According to the Boyd County Coroner’s Office, the fire happened just before 8:30 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Green Valley Drive in Cannonsburg.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

The coroner’s office said two people were trapped in the home and pulled out by firefighters. According to the coroner, a male was pronounced dead at the scene, and a female was taken to a burn unit in Huntington. Her condition is unknown at this time.
