Mobile home fire prompts investigation in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An investigation is underway following a mobile home fire in Porterville, the city’s fire department said.

The Porterville Fire Department says they, along with the Tulare County Fire Department and the Cal Fire Tulare Unit, responded to a structure fire at the 1600 block of N. Beverly Street on Friday afternoon.

Upon arrival, crews report finding a mobile home with a significant amount of smoke and fire coming from it. Crews deployed multiple hose lines to control the flames and searched the structure for anyone who may be inside.

No people were found inside the home and no injuries were reported either, per firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
