According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 2 a.m., officers were called to the 3700 block of North Chester Avenue on the report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound inside a residence.
IMPD confirmed that the man was transported from the scene to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police reported that they located an adult male suspect at the scene and arrested him.
Investigators are encouraging those with information on the shooting to contact IMPD at (317) 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-8477.
