METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Saturday afternoon, Debbie Gibson proved that her fans just can’t shake their love for her. Along with bands that performed the music of Journey and Queen, she brought happy crowds back to the 1980s.
One fan said it was a dream come true to see Gibson perform at Family Gras, adding that she put on a show that was amazing for everyone, not just fans from the ’80s.
Family Gras Saturday was all about sunshine, shopping and savoring the food truck fare. Food trucks were a Family Gras first, adding to a new layout for the event, with arts and crafts vendors moved to the center of Family Gras.
With rain forecast for Sunday, another first for Family Gras: the music lineup will move inside the Pontchartrain Center, starting at 3 p.m. with Amanda Shaw, followed by the scheduled lineup of Gabby Barrett and Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts.
