Rain likely with cold temperatures continuing through the weekend

Another shortwave trough is moving into the area for today. This will create atmospheric lift across the area leading to rain chances. Rain looks to begin after 4pm and continue off-and-on through tonight and through the first half of tomorrow. It will be mostly a light-to-moderate rain, but some embedded thunder could be possible. Rain totals through tomorrow evening will be in the 1-2 inch range.

Cold temperatures continue through the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees for this afternoon and for tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures may not get above 53 degrees until Monday the way it’s looking now.

Next week does look much better. Mostly sunny skies on Monday with highs climbing into the upper 60s. We warm even further Tuesday and Wednesday with highs climbing into the mid-70s!

Another weak front moves through on Thursday, but the nice weather looks to continue through next Thursday and Friday.
