Today will be a few degrees warmer than yesterday with daytime highs reaching the low 40s in northern valleys, eventually warming into the mid 50s for southern valleys. Mountain valleys will be in the upper 30s while warm spots in the south will top out in the low to mid 60s.
High pressure remains in control for the foreseeable future, which will act as a storm block and keep storm system to the north of us. However, there is a chance for some brief light showers in northern Utah Sunday night through Tuesday morning as a system grazes us to the north, but nothing too soggy. Temperatures continue to rise into the upper 40s and low 50s for Sunday for the north and mid 50s to low 60s for the south, but the warmest spots will be in the upper 60s. By the time we kick off the workweek, daytime highs will be about 8-15° above seasonal norms, which means mid 50s in the north, mid 60s in the south, and mid 70s for the St. George area.
While high pressure will keep the bulk of the moisture to the north of us, we will still have clouds roll through northern Utah Sunday through Tuesday, but not enough to block all the sunshine. Warm temperatures look to stick around for the next seven days, so enjoy the spring weather tease!
