Trio arrested for stealing bronze vases from Wilmington cemetery

Three people have been arrested for a series of thefts from a cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware.

According to Delaware State Police, 34-year-old Thomas Hudson, 32-year-old Ashley Newcomb, and 37-year-old Alonza Mosley, from Newark, Delaware were arrested for several thefts from the All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington throughout the last year.

State Police say the thefts occurred between September 2024 to November 2024 at the All Saints Cemetery, located at 6001 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington.

In each of the theft incidents, four suspects would trespass onto the cemetery’s property after hours and steal bronze ceremonial vases from individual gravestones. The suspects would then flee with the stolen vases in a car that was parked nearby.

Throughout the 3-month period in which the thefts occurred, the suspects stole nearly 200 vases, totaling over 0,000 in stolen property.

Troopers discovered that the suspects then sold the stolen vases at a recycling center in New Castle.

After a several-month long investigation, the suspects were taken into custody on February 19, 2025 after troopers executed a search warrant and arrest warrants for Hudson, Newcomb, and Mosley at a residence in Newark.

Police are still looking for the fourth suspect.

Hudson, Newcomb, and Mosley were all charged with:
