Man sentenced for fatal shooting at Lexington bar

HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was sentenced in connection to a deadly shooting at a Lexington bar.

A Holmes County Circuit Court jury found Ivyon Anderson guilty of first-degree murder on Thursday, February 20, following a three-day jury trial.

Anderson was charged with killing Corey Davis on April 22, 2023, at Yellow Tree Bar & Grill in Lexington. Witnesses testified that Davis was shot four times.

Anderson was sentenced to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
