An Illinois Amber Alert issued overnight Friday for an 8-year-old boy has been cancelled.
According to the alert, the boy was abducted from the 7100 block of South Eberhart in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood and last seen around 7:40 p.m. Thursday.
Illinois State Police have confirmed the child was “located safely” around 4:30 a.m. Friday.
According to ISP, the Amber Alert notification system was activated around 1:50 a.m. at the request of the Chicago Police Department.
It is unknown if the man mentioned in the alert has also been found. No further information has been provided by police.
