Representative Fields held a town hall Thursday evening at Southern University Metro Campus. The room was packed with people plus local elected officials—many asking about President Donald Trump’s administration, Elon Musk, and concerns over ongoing executive orders.
“I think people need some sense of comfort and convenience because the country is in mass chaos and confusion because we’re doing things too fast and the public really doesn’t understand how one man can have so much power. The truth of the matter, according to our constitution, is that he does not. So we’re trying to give people some sense of comfort that all these executive orders will not go into effect because many of them are being challenged in the court,” said Rep. Fields, (D) District 6.
Fields answered questions during the town hall that lasted more than an hour.
