The initiative was created in partnership with seasoned technology consultant Anthony James Partners (AJP), and will change the arena’s data displays and in-game graphics.
The current graphics were ground-breaking back when the Moda Center first opened in 1995. These will be replaced with dynamic LED displays that will cover 7,520 square feet of screen space, which is more than 1.5 times the area of an NBA court.
In-game entertainment, video displays with player personality films, and more real-time in-depth stat displays will all be possible with the additional screens and ANC’s LiveSync venue control software.
Each corner board will have more than a million pixels and allow fans in all parts of the arena to be able to see the game content clearly.
Dewayne Hankins, President of Business Operations, Portland Trail Blazers said, “With these new dynamic endzone videoboards, we’re continuing our legacy of innovation and bringing fans closer to the game than ever before.”
He continued, “No matter where you’re sitting in the arena, you’ll now have an incredible view of every play, every highlight and every stat – taking the Moda Center experience to the next level.”
