NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department have declared a SWAT roll in Algiers on Thursday, Feb. 20.
The NOPD reported that a wanted person allegedly barricaded themselves inside a home in the 1200 block of Casa Calvo Street.
According to police, the NOPD Violent Offender Warrant Squad was trying to serve an arrest warrant before the SWAT roll was initiated.
Around 10:40 a.m., the wanted person reportedly surrendered to police.
