An official with the pizzeria confirmed that all four locations in the Indianapolis area will go dark on March 4. This includes Lou Malnati’s Avon, Lou Malnati’s Carmel, Lou Malnati’s Crown Point and Lou Malnati’s Greenwood.
“We are disappointed that these pizzerias did not meet our performance expectations over the last several years,” said Mindy Kaplan, VP of communications for Lou Malnati’s. “We believe that our decision to leave the Indianapolis market will allow us to focus on strengthening our brand in other areas for the long-term success of our business.”
With the shuttering of these four pizzerias, the Chicago-based deep-dish pizza maker will be left with only two Indiana locations — both located in the Chicagoland area of Northwest Indiana.
