Baton Rouge Police: 2 teens hurt in Wednesday shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two teenagers were injured in a Wednesday evening Baton Rouge shooting.

According to emergency medical services officials, personnel responded to a shooting in the 800 block of N. 30th Street around 6 p.m. One person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition and the other was taken with a minor injury.

The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed to Louisiana First News Thursday morning that the victims are a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
