Section of I-75 South in Rockcastle County opened after 2 semi-trucks collide

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A crash in Rockcastle County shut down a section of the interstate on Wednesday morning.

The Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) told FOX 56 that the crash happened on the southbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 62.

According to troopers, two semi-trucks collided, causing all lanes on the southbound side to be closed down.

Just before 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Secretary of Transportation Jim Gray said during a press conference that the southbound lanes of I-75 in Rockcastle County that were closed following the crash have been opened.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
