Portland Timbers unveil exciting 2025 upgrades at Providence Park

PORTLAND, Ore, (KOIN) — Ahead of the 2025 season, the Portland Timbers have revealed a number of new features and theme nights to enhance the Providence Park experience for its 50th season. This is a summary of what spectators can anticipate for this upcoming season.

The club’s rich history will be celebrated with a number of special events:

• Spirit of ’75 Night: A celebration of the Timbers’ first season as a team in 1975, taking place Jun 13 vs San Jose Earthquakes.
• 10th Anniversary of MLS Cup Celebration: On Jul 16, Portland will play Real Salt Lake and pay homage to their 2015 championship win.
• 50th Anniversary Night: On Jul 19, the Timbers play Minnesota United FC and will honor 50 years of soccer. Details on that night and activities are going to be voted on by fans.

• Diego Chara Bobblehead Night — The legendary Timbers midfielder Diego Chara will be honored with a memorabilia giveaway on Aug 16.

The Timbers also unveiled their new Providence Park game day menu with features. One of the biggest additions is the #1 non-alcoholic beer, Athletic Brewing Company. They are going to continue growing the Bold Reuse program, which reduced nearly 2,000 pounds of garbage by diverting 40,000 single-use cups from landfills.

The Timbers will also be launching concerts at Providence Park again this year with the highlight being Post Malone and Jelly Roll on Jun 28. Providence Park concert tickets can also be used as TriMet tickets.

Fans can anticipate an improved matchday cuisine from the local Levy team, Park Provisions, which includes: House-Smoked Brisket Nachos, Korean Dumpling Salad, Tuna Poke Bowl with Mac Salad, Pickle-Brined Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Tillamook Mac & Cheese.
