Man wanted in connection to Baton Rouge drug trafficking operation booked into jail

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Jail records show a man wanted in connection to a drug investigation that led to the seizure of over 3,000 lethal doses of fentanyl was arrested.

Clifton Earl, 41, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on multiple drug charges Tuesday.

Four other suspects, including Earl’s daughter, were arrested last week. The sheriff’s office identified suspects as Keishira Lindsey, 18; Keishimie Lindsey, 20; Karita Lindsey, 42; and Clifford Williams, 64.

Investigators said a drug trafficking operation was tied to six Baton Rouge addresses and one Ascension Parish address. According to EBRSO, agents knew Earl as a large-scale polydrug trafficker in the Baton Rouge area. He reportedly fled the area before warrant execution.
