Wizards rookie AJ Johnson hosts giveback event in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE)– Fresno native and NBA rookie AJ Johnson hosted his first giveback event in Fresno on Monday afternoon. Johnson invited the youth to receive backpacks, shirts, and reusable water bottles. Johnson spoke with the kids and also signed autographs.

“It means everything to me. Giving back to the youth and inspiring them” said Johnson.

AJ grew up in Fresno and is proud to represent the Central Valley at the highest level in the NBA.

“Where I’m from means everything to me. I have family out here, friends. It means everything to me to give back and do all that I can” said Johnson.
