According to a press release, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will present “Hiding Behind the Mask: The Faces of Bullying” Mardi Gras Masquerade & Sneaker Ball on February 23.
The event will be held at the Sheriff’s Safety Town at 8910 Jewella Ave from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Event organizers say the Mardi Gras-themed event will include a meaningful discussion on preventing and stopping bullying.
Police say the the ball is open to ages 5-13, the anti-bullying sneaker ball will feature music, entertainment, and opportunities to win prizes.
Refreshments will be provided.
Attendees are encouraged to be creative and wear their favorite Mardi Gras-inspired outfit and sneakers.
