Creative ways to get your work out in

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Being on a weight loss journey can have its ups and downs and it can be hard to keep stay motivated to hit your fitness goals.

There are many factors that can impact your journey to lose weight or gain a healthier lifestyle. Maybe you are bored with going to the gym and doing the same routine over and over. Maybe you want to switch up how you approach fitness. There are so many creative ways to get a sweat in and meet your step goal for the day.

If you have been on your journey a while you may be tired of your normal, everyday routine and want to mix up your work outs. Getting stuck in a rut when it comes to fitness can make it easy to want to give up along the way.

Here are some creative ways to work up a sweat or gets some steps in:

• Hiking
• Cycling
• YouTube – Find fitness creators
• Dancing in your bedroom or living room
• Walk your neighborhood or house
• Take 10 minute squat/push up breaks
• Hula Hooping
• Just Dance or similar video game
• Order a mini trampoline and jump

There are so many ways you can burn calories without stepping foot in a gym and make it fun. It is all about finding what appeals to you and what works for you.

If you don’t enjoy the activity, chances are you wont want to to it in the long run, so finding creative ways to work out will keep your weight loss journey interesting and less boring.

Life is not perfect and this journey will not be either.
