PHOTOS: Damage from strong storms hitting across Tennessee Valley

NORTH ALABAMA (WHNT) — The Weather Authority tracked a strong line of storms Saturday night into Sunday morning that caused damage in parts of the Tennessee Valley.

We’ve received reports of damage, fallen power lines, fallen trees and power outages in several areas.

As of 9:25 a.m. Sunday, over 2,700 Florence Electric customers are still without power in Lauderdale County.

In Marshall County, power was reported to be out for over 200 total customers of several utility providers.

Over 600 are reported to be without power in Colbert and Franklin Counties Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service is expected to survey the areas near Russellville, Tuscumbia, Rogersville and Boaz on Sunday. “A final assessment including results of the survey are expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by 6 p.m.”
