Louisiana Workforce Commission offering help for displaced International Paper workers
NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Due to the closure of International Paper in employees will now have to consider their next move and the Louisiana Workforce Commission is stepping in to offer help.

According to a press release, The Louisiana Workforce Commission, the Rapid Response Team will be in Natchitoches and Campti on February 20 and 21 to support workers affected by mass layoffs.

Their mobile centers will be on-site to help workers register for work and connect them with resources to transition to their next opportunity.

Individuals will also have access to application assistance, resume writing, training grants, career counseling, and more.

The mobile centers will be in Natchitoches at the Council Chamber located at 712 2nd Street and at the Campti Resource Center located at 201 Edenborn Street from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
