Elderly driver crashes into Eagle Mountain homes, found dead at the scene

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC4) — An elderly man was found dead at the scene of a car crash after reportedly driving into several Eagle Mountain homes on Monday afternoon, according to officials.

told ABC4.com that the accident occurred around 2:10 p.m. on Monday near Bald Eagle Way and Pony Express Boulevard. Orgmond said an elderly man left the intersection and crashed into two houses.

The driver passed away at the scene. Officials believe the incident was caused by a medical condition, but it is unclear at this point if the man was killed by the crash or the condition.

The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting with the investigation. The identity of the man who died is not being released at the request of the family.
