SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A three-year-old autistic boy was left alone in a classroom after school; three days later, police said, two individuals were arrested on Friday following an extensive investigation.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Juvenile Crimes said Rosie Mohammed and Cheryl Myers have been taken into custody and charged with child desertion.
Investigators determined that, due to the child’s young age and limited abilities, he could not protect himself from potential hazards or dangers.
The Shreveport Police Department thanks the Caddo Parish School Board for their swift action and full cooperation in this case. Their immediate response and assistance were instrumental in ensuring a prompt resolution.
