Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro joins Eagles parade

(WHTM) – Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro joined the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade on Friday afternoon.

The Governor was seen riding one of the buses carrying Eagles players, coaches, executives, and staff down Broad Street and onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Shapiro posted on social media, “No one knows how to celebrate like Philly does. Go Birds.”

The parade will end at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where players are expected to give speeches in front of hundreds of thousands of fans.

Shapiro attended several Eagles games this year, including Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. He won a bet with the Governor of Missouri placed ahead of the Super Bowl, meaning he’ll receive some Missouri beef and barbeque seasoning.
