On Thursday afternoon, a passenger car allegedly drove into the back of a semi-truck near Pleasant View leading to the death of one man, according to Utah Highway Patrol. The cause of the crash and the identity of the victim have not been released.
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) posted on social media shortly after 1:30 p.m. advising drivers that southbound I-15 is closed at mile point 350 and all vehicles will need to exit at 2700 N.
Lt. Cameron Roden, UHP public information officer, said authorities are still gathering information at this time. He estimates the area could be closed for a couple of hours.
