The Utah Department of Transportation says all lanes of eastbound I-80 are closed at milepost 155 as of 4 p.m. One westbound lane was also closed for a brief time but has since reopened.
Lt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol says a semi truck hauling a flatbed trailer with 15 pieces of pipe ran into the back of a traffic control truck, which was hauling a crash continuator and a large barrel of paint.
The crash resulted in the semi truck losing its load of pipes across all eastbound lanes and the entire barrel of paint spilling onto the roadway. UDOT crews and a local tow truck company are working to clear the right shoulder so traffic can start flowing.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the occupants of either vehicle.
