NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans City Council has voted to join the lawsuit brought by NOLA Public Schools against the Cantrell administration for backing out of an agreement to give the schools $20 million to fill a hole in the budget.
The school board is trying to enforce the agreement made back in November of 2024, but the mayor’s office claims that it didn’t agree to the terms of the deal.
