LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — After a short hiatus, the Lafayette’s Public Library‘s bookmobile is resuming service, the library announced in a news release Friday.

“After a pause in services due to staffing shortages, the Bookmobile is again ready to
serve communities in Lafayette that may have difficulty getting to a brick and mortar
branch of the Library,” the release read. “The ADA-compliant Bookmobile offers a diverse collection of books, audiobooks, and DVDs for children, teens, and adults.”

The vehicle is outfitted with everything needed to serve the public, including a mobile hotspot so staff can sign patrons up for library cards, officials said.
