(
WGNO) — The New Orleans Saints are introducing Kellen Moore as the 19th head coach in franchise history.
Moore took the Saints head coach opening, after spending one year and winning Super Bowl LIX with the Philadelphia Eagles this past season.
Philly was the third team Moore coached on in the past three seasons. The 36-year-old was the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, during the 2023-24 season, and before his west coast tenure, Moore held the same position with the Dallas Cowboys for four years (2019-2022).
Moore will also become the youngest coach in the NFL, not turning 37 until July 5th, but the offensive play caller has orchestrated high-powered offenses in his short NFL career. The Cowboys had the NFL’s number one total offense in 2019 and 2021, and this past season the Eagles were eighth in total offense, seventh in scoring and second in rushing.
