Reservoir Police Chief Carlos Dipuma said a female driver was traveling on the Natchez Trace around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 13 when she struck a deer near the 113-mile marker. He said the collision caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle, which ended up in the water.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
According to Dipuma, the unidentified driver left the scene after the accident. He said the driver could face charges for leaving the scene.
