BPD: Possibly-armed suspect may be in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A man wanted in Ballinger who may be armed with a gun is possibly in San Angelo, according to a lieutenant of the Ballinger Police Department.

The Ballinger Police Department notified the public via social media on Monday, Feb. 3, that the agency is looking for a man identified as Ramiro Roman. The department warned that Roman, who has an active warrant, may potentially be armed and asked for citizens to contact it should they have information regarding Roman.

BPD Lt. Stanley Maresch stated that Roman is wanted for using a motor vehicle without authorization in late December 2024. The department is also seeking Roman due to an ongoing investigation connected to him that involves a firearm.

Maresch said that information provided to the police department indicated that Roman has since left Ballinger. Information also indicated that he may be in San Angelo, Abilene or Dallas.

“We’re getting a lot of information about his whereabouts, but nothing concrete,” Maresch said.

Records regarding Roman stated that he is a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and approximately 27 years of age.
