PLEASE HELP: Abilene police searching for victims of child sex crime suspect

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene police are searching for victims of a child sex crime suspect.

Known sex offender Luis Diaz, Jr. was taken into custody during a traffic stop last week for failing to comply with his sex offender registry, which he is mandated to keep current for a previous Indecency with a Child by Contact conviction.

While officers were arresting Diaz, they searched a box in his vehicle and recovered numerous electronic devices, which were later found to have, “disturbing sexual images on the electronic devices involving minors,” according to a press release.

The Abilene Police Department is now seeking additional information on Diaz, as well as potential victims of child sex crimes he may have committed.
