Man wanted for fatal Jackson shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for a man in connection to a fatal shooting.

Detective Tommie Brown said officers began investigating an aggravated assault that occurred near Livingston Road around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 1. Officers discovered the victim, Jemar Brooks, had been shot at the location.

Brooks was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries on Sunday, February 2.

Brown said detectives have issued warrants for the arrest of Sannone Jackson, 42. He’s wanted for capital murder, aggravated assault and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
