This rain is being driven by an upper-level low currently forming over the Four Corners region. Over the next few days, it will move westward before shifting toward the southeastern U.S., bringing us showers by the middle of next week.

This low-pressure system will pull moisture into the Big Country, increasing precipitation chances as we close out January.
