“We started this last year because of a little girl (who will be the grand marshal this year) who insisted that her mom drive her by the Brownwood Senior Citizens Center daily to see the Christmas blowups on the lawn,” Susy Tatum explained.
The community excitement from last year’s parade turned it into an anticipated annual event. Senior citizens sing Christmas carols during the parade while families remain in their vehicles, driving past the building to admire the festive inflatables.

Sponsors of the Brownwood Senior Citizens Center also join in the fun, handing out goodies and treats to the children. This unique celebration bridges the gap between generations, uniting young and old in the joyous spirit of the season.
