Alabama Farm Credit Partners with Hope Horses to exceed fundraising goal for therapeutic riding program

Ala. – Alabama Farm Credit and Hope Horses this week announced the tremendous success of their Giving Tuesday campaign, which raised $6,447 — exceeding the $5,000 goal to purchase a new therapeutic riding horse.

The new addition, named Sal (also known as Splash of Gold), will enable Hope Horses to serve two to four additional students each week and reduce the workload on its current equine team, fostering more opportunities for individuals with special needs to access physical and emotional therapy.

Hope Horses, based in Cullman, provides services statewide for therapeutic and adaptive riding programs to individuals with physical, cognitive, social or emotional disabilities. The addition of Sal will expand its ability to deliver these highly impactful services, which have proven life changing for countless community members.

Alabama Farm Credit supported the campaign by promoting it via social media and through its employee gift-matching program, emphasizing a collective community effort. The funds raised will ensure the continuation of the meaningful work Hope Horses carries out and further their reach to those in need.
