ST. ANTHONY — A man is charged with child sexual abuse after turning himself in.

Tyce Syperda, 51, is charged with three felony counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16 years old.

According to court documents, Syperda turned himself in to the St. Anthony Police Station on Nov. 15, saying he had touched his girlfriend’s 11-year-old daughter inappropriately on two occasions.

Syperda told an officer that between June 1, 2019 and Dec. 31, 2022, he “cupped her breast area and masturbated” while she played a video game.

Syperda is charged with two counts of child sexual abuse for two similar incidents within the same time frame.

The third charge comes from an incident that took place between June 1, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2016. Syperda allegedly requested the same minor, who was six to eight years old at the time, to touch his genitals.

Syperda was booked in the Fremont County Jail with a bond of $50,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 11.

If found guilty, Syperda could spend up to life in prison.

Though Syperda has been charged with these crimes, it does not necessarily mean he committed them. Everyone is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
